Kentavius Street's Biography

Kentavius Radkevian Street, affectionately known as Street, represents a familiar name in the professional American football landscape. Born on May 8, 1996, Street built his reputation as a dogged and dedicated defensive end player. Known for his exceptional ability to solidify the defense line, Street has a longstanding career profile with the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) at present. However, it wasn’t always a soaring trajectory, as Street’s career has intertwined moments of glory with periods of steep challenges.

His journey into professional football began at the North Carolina State University, where he was a prominent name in the college football team. The 2017 college football season emerged as a lucrative year when Street recorded a remarkable performance of 38 tackles and 3.5 sacks. However, his soaring career hit turbulence during his pro day when he tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). The devastating injury rendered him unlikely to participate in the 2018 fixture.

Despite his physical setback, Street never faded from the limelight. Showcasing his incredible potential, the San Francisco 49ers drafted him in the fourth round (128th overall) during the 2018 NFL Draft. Though his injury persisted and placed him on the reserve/non-football injury list in September 2018, Street was determined not to let the setback define his career.

On the 1st of September 2019, Street found himself on the injured reserve. However, this marked the beginning of a comeback journey, as he was designated for return later that year. On December 4, 2019, he began practicing with the team again and was officially activated on December 14th. Unfortunately, Street’s injury returned in early 2020 and was placed back on injured reserve once again on January 10th.

During Street’s period of recovery, the 49ers advanced to the Super Bowl LIV but eventually conceded a 31-20 defeat to their rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs. As season preparations rolled in, Street was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list at the start of the training camp in late July 2020. However, he battled his way back to full fitness and was added back to the active roster within a week.

In March 2022, a new chapter began as Street signed with the New Orleans Saints, marking an important milestone in his professional career. But this stint proved to be short-lived as Street moved to the Philadelphia Eagles a year later, on a one-year deal in late March 2023.

The rollercoaster ride continued with Street moving to the Atlanta Falcons in late October 2023, in an agreement that also involved a 2025 seventh-round pick traded in exchange for the Eagles’ 2024 sixth-round pick. Since then, Street has been a permanent fixture on the Falcons’ roster, further establishing his legacy as a staunch defensive end. In March 2024, he re-signed with the Falcons, where he continues to play an instrumental role in elevating the team’s defense line.
