Jeffrey Chidera Okudah, born on February 2, 1999, is an American professional football player who currently plays as a cornerback for the Houston Texans in the National Football League (NFL). Okudah’s roots can be traced back to Grand Prairie Texas, where he was born to Nigerian parents. Later that year, he was placed on injured reserve after undergoing surgery for a core muscle injury.
The Lions’ 2021 season opener saw Okudah face another challenging setback when he ruptured his Achilles tendon. The severity of the injury necessitated his placement on injured reserve once again.
Okudah’s career took another turn with a trade to the Atlanta Falcons on April 13, 2023, for a fifth-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft. But his journey with the Falcons was short-lived, with Okudah setting his sights on fresh pastures the next year. On March 15, 2024, Okudah joined the Houston Texans on a one-year contract. Sadly, his struggle with injuries continued, with a fresh injury requiring his placement on injured reserve on September 11.
