Ja'Wuan Amir James is a former NFL offensive tackle who played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers. Born June 3, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, James attended North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, where he became a nationally regarded offensive-line prospect before enrolling at Tennessee in January 2010.

At Tennessee, James established himself as a durable right tackle and started every game of his college career. He earned All-SEC recognition in 2013 and set a Tennessee record for career starts by an offensive lineman. The Miami Dolphins selected him in the first round, 19th overall, of the 2014 NFL Draft.

James spent the first part of his NFL career with Miami before signing with the Denver Broncos as an unrestricted free agent in March 2019. He opted out of the 2020 season because of COVID-19 concerns, and Denver released him in May 2021 after an Achilles injury sustained while training away from the team facility. Baltimore signed James in June 2021, but his Ravens tenure was affected by another Achilles injury.
