Jarran Kentrel Reed was born on December 16, 1992, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Today, he holds the distinguished title of a professional American football player, performing as the nose tackle for the renowned Seattle Seahawks team of the National Football League (NFL). His journey through athletics and academics has crafted him into an esteemed sportsperson, leading to his substantial success in the sporting industry.

Reed’s journey in football began in Goldsboro High School from where he graduated in 2011. Without a promising academic background, Reed faced challenging circumstances leading him to enroll in the Hargrave Military Academy for building his academic foundations stronger. During his time in Goldsboro and later in Hargrave, his athletic prowess was apparent, which provided him a starting point towards his football career.

In 2012, Reed entered East Mississippi Community College. Here, he showcased his athletic capabilities by demonstrating remarkable defensive skills. By 2013, he was a pivotal element in leading his team to the NJCAA national championship win. During his stint at East Mississippi Community College, Reed achieved the exceptional record of 100 career tackles including 10.5 tackles for loss.

His demonstrated abilities created a burning desire within Reed to further his athletic development. Thus, recognizing the significant opportunities ahead, Reed transferred to the University of Alabama in 2014.
