Bryan Mone

Bryan Mone was born on October 20, 1995, and has since then made a name for himself as an accomplished American football nose tackle. He now plays for the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League (UFL). Before this, he played college football for the reputed Michigan Wolverines and also brought his prowess to the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL).

Mone had an impressive five-season run with the Michigan Wolverines, where he first caught attention as a true freshman. Out of the 12 games Michigan played, Mone played in all of them, managing to record nine tackles, with 1.5 of them for loss. His journey took a temporary setback when he broke his leg during a preseason practice, leading to him missing his entire sophomore year.

However, Mone displayed resilience and bounced back as a fifth-year senior. He recorded 13 tackles, with 1.5 for loss, along with half a sack. His performance was strong enough to earn him an honorable mention for the All-Big Ten Conference. His collegiate career ended with him having made 43 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, broken up two passes and recovered two fumbles over the course of 48 games.

Having proved his mettle in college football, Mone made the leap to professional football when he signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2019. He made his NFL debut later in the year on September 8, 2019, against the Cincinnati Bengals where he took down his opponents three times.

However, Mone experienced a setback again when he was waived on September 26 and re-signed to the practice squad. Despite getting released on October 23, his determination led him back to the practice squad only six days later. He shone enough to be promoted to the active roster in less than two months, on December 20. The following year, he was re-signed by the Seahawks on April 23, 2020. His career took a major hit when he got injured on November 14 and had to be placed on injured reserve. A few weeks later, on December 5, he was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. However, he got back on the injured reserve by December 16 and got activated off it on December 26.

Bryan Mone continued his tenure with the Seahawks in 2021 when he signed an exclusive-rights free agent tender with them on April 19. He secured a two-year contract extension with the Seahawks on June 20, 2022, worth up to $12 million. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn ACL in Week 15 and had to be placed on injured reserve again on December 20, 2022. As a result, he was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list at the commencement of the 2023 season.

On March 6, 2024, the Seahawks released Mone, marking the end of his journey with them. However, undeterred, he signed with the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League (UFL) on August 27, 2024. His current tenure with the San Antonio Brahmas is yet another testimony to Bryan Mone’s resilience and commitment to the sport.
