James Robinson Bio
James Robinson is an American football running back from Rockford, Illinois. Born on August 9, 1998, he played college football at Illinois State after a record-setting career at Rockford Lutheran High School. Illinois State lists Robinson as a decorated high-school runner and identifies him as a 2019 senior running back for the Redbirds.
Robinson entered the NFL in 2020 as an undrafted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He became a prominent part of Jacksonville’s offense as a rookie and later played for the New York Jets, Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints. His NFL career also included a significant Achilles injury during the 2021 season and subsequent transitions between teams.
