Ashtyn Davis is an American professional football safety for the San Francisco 49ers. As of September 29, 2026, he is listed on the 49ers’ active roster and depth chart after signing a one-year contract with San Francisco on August 31, 2026. The team had initially signed him on June 2 and released him on August 30 before bringing him back. Davis is listed at 6 feet 1 inch and 205 pounds.

Born October 10, 1996, and raised in Santa Cruz, California, Davis attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he played football and competed in track and field. He joined Cal’s football program as a walk-on after initially arriving as a track athlete. His background as a hurdler helped shape the speed and movement skills that became central to his development as a defensive back. At Cal, he played safety, contributed on special teams and earned recognition as a versatile two-sport athlete.
