Isaiah Prince's Biography

Isaiah Prince, born on July 29, 1997, is a professional American football player known for his prowess as an offensive tackle. Born and raised in the United States, Prince carved a niche for himself by his exceptional College football career at Ohio State before becoming a professional player in the United Football League for the Arlington Renegades.

Prince’s outstanding inaugural journey started right from his days as a college footballer, characterized by hard work, grit, and determination. Enrolling at Ohio State, he distinguished himself as one of only four true freshmen in 2015, seeing playing time for the Buckeyes and consequently earning his first varsity letter. He took on a more significant role during his sophomore year, becoming the starting right tackle, demonstrating his skill and endurance with his participation in all thirteen games of the season.

Prince’s talents were not unnoticed during his time at Ohio State. After his sophomore year, he was recognized as the sole member of the 2015 Ohio State recruits to play in every game for two consecutive seasons. His junior year brimmed with exciting changes. Prince exhibited versatility by switching to left tackle and alternating positions with fellow lineman, Thayer Munford, although the positions were switched back before the season kicked off.

2019 marked the professional turning point in Prince’s career when he was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the sixth round of the NFL draft as the 202nd overall pick. His time with the Dolphins was short-lived but significant, as he illustrated his potential playing in four games with two starts before he was waived on December 5, 2019.

The Cincinnati Bengals decided to give Prince an opportunity, claiming him off the waivers barely a day after the Dolphins waived him. However, in an unexpected turn of events as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Prince opted out of the 2020 season. When he returned for the 2021 season, he was slated as the backup right tackle, providing support for veteran player Riley Reiff. But when Reiff suffered an ankle injury during the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 12, Prince got the opportunity to step up and prove his worth, taking over for Reiff. He continued his onward march, playing as the right tackle in the playoff games as well as in Super Bowl LVI.

In September 2022, Prince experienced a setback, with an elbow injury leading to his placement on injured reserve. However, his recovery saw him being activated in November, only to be subsequently waived and re-signed to the practice squad.

Early 2023 was hopeful, as Prince inked a reserve/future contract with the Denver Broncos. This hope, however, was short-lived, as he was released by the Broncos later that year, in August 2023. Almost immediately after, Prince signed with the Atlanta Falcons but was released from their roster within a month.

On July 29, 2024, marking his 27th birthday, Isaiah Prince made the next significant move in his professional career when he signed a contract with the Arlington Renegades of the United Football League, a testament to his resilience and unyielding tenacity, embodying the spirit of American football.
