Hamsah Nasirildeen, an American football talent was born on January 17, 1999. He is presently a free agent. Known for his versatility, Hamsah has made a name for himself as a linebacker, a position he has held during his collegiate career at Florida State and in the National Football League (NFL).
Born and brought up in Concord, North Carolina, Nasirildeen’s journey into football started at Concord High School. Flourishing into an all-rounded player, Hamsah performed various roles within the football team such as safety, linebacker, tight end, and wide receiver. His prowess in defense, which he started demonstrating during his junior year, resulted in an impressive record. He made 85 tackles, snagged five interceptions, forced two fumbles, and broke up seven passes – while also catching an impressive 35 passes for 634 yards on offense.
Hamsah’s impressive performances continued into his senior year as he earned the title of US Army All-American. His accomplishments included making 108 tackles, three interceptions, and an astonishing 45 receptions for 751 yards and five touchdowns.

Initially, he committed to continue his football journey at South Carolina going into his senior year. However, later he flipped his commitment to Florida State.
As a true freshman at Florida State, Nasirildeen proved his worth by playing in all 13 games of the season. He recorded 29 tackles with two passes broken up. He continued to impress in his sophomore season by participating in all of the Seminoles games. With five starts at safety, he ended the year as the team leader with a total of 91 tackles, an interception, and two pass breakups.
The following year as a junior, Hamsah made numerous notable plays including 101 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, three pass breakups, and two interceptions. But his spell wasn’t without challenges – he suffered a leg injury in a match against Florida.
Following his college football career, Hamsah made his way to the NFL when he was selected by the New York Jets in the sixth round with the 186th overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. Unfortunately, he was placed on injured reserve on October 5. After recovering from his injury, Hamsah was activated on November 4, 2021.
However, on August 30, 2022, he was waived by the Jets but was signed to their practice squad the next day. Demonstrating his tenacity and dedication, Hamsah was promoted to the active roster on December 17, proving himself to be an asset to his team. Despite this, on August 6, 2023, he once again found himself being waived by the Jets. Even with the setbacks faced in his professional career, Hamsah remains a steadfast figure within American football, eagerly awaiting his next opportunity in the sport he passionately upholds.
