Ethan Greenidge's Biography

Ethan Greenidge, born on September 10, 1997, is an accomplished American football player who played in a crucial role of offensive tackle. As of now, he is a free agent, open for exploration and opportunities. Greenidge’s football journey traces its roots back to his college days at Villanova University where he was an active part of the Villanova Wildcats football team.

During these four years with the Wildcats, Greenidge grew noticeably as a player and a team member. Greenidge established himself as a starter in the tackler position, not long after he started his freshman year. This marked the beginning of his long streak of appearances on the field, he carved out a record by starting 43 consecutive games in his collegiate career. Praised for his consistent performance and skills, Greenidge was named second-team All-Colonial Athletic Association, not only once but twice, as a junior and again as a senior.

Moving further down the timeline, on April 27, 2019, Greenidge’s professional football journey began when he was signed on by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent. The fact that he made it to the Saints’ 53-man roster straight out of training camp was in itself quite an achievement. However, he did not get to play in any of the games in that season, thus, remaining as an inactive player for the entirety of the season.

In the following year of 2020, Greenidge made a comeback and was once again part of the active roster. Here, he touched a milestone in his career by making his debut in the National Football League. This important event took place on September 13, 2020, during the season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

However, this progression was interrupted when Greenidge met with an injury. He was placed on injured reserve on August 24, 2021, as a result of it. Just a year later, another injury forced him to be placed on injured reserve again on August 15, 2022.

Emerging from the setbacks, Greenidge took another important step toward his football career. He signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons on April 17, 2023. Despite a promising start, his journey with the Falcons saw a pause when he was placed on injured reserve, yet again, on August 3, 2023.
