Erick All's Biography

Erick All Jr., an American professional football tight end, was born on September 13, 2000. He currently plays for the Cincinnati Bengals, a prominent team in the National Football League (NFL). Prior to embarking on his professional career, All played college football, most notably for the Michigan Wolverines and then for the Iowa Hawkeyes, showing exceptional skill and determination both on and off the field.

All’s life story charted a riveting journey beginning in Hamilton, Ohio, where he was born on September 13, 2000.[1][2] A unfortunate event marred his early childhood when, at just five months old, he was caught in a tragic house fire at his family home located in Richmond, Indiana. The fire had trapped All in his playpen on the second floor, until firefighter Tom Broyles heroically rescued him by scaling a ladder and braving the smoke-filled room. At the time, the infant was not breathing, but thanks to the timely intervention of EMT medic Shawn Phenis who administered CPR, All regained consciousness. In 2022, in a heartfelt reunion, Erick All’s family invited the brave firefighter who rescued him to meet him at a Michigan football game leading to an emotional embrace that marked their shared past and resilience.[5]

Education played a significant role in All’s life. He attended Fairfield High School located in Fairfield, Ohio.[6] Throughout his senior year, he showcased his potential as a powerhouse in football, catching 30 passes for 465 yards and securing four touchdowns. ESPN acknowledged his meteoric rise, rating him as a three-star prospect and the No. 10 tight end in the Class of 2019. He was also recognized as the No. 18 prospect in Ohio.[7]

Erick All made a significant commitment to his football dreams in the summer of 2018, when he verbally agreed to play for the University of Michigan.[8] He officially signed his letter of intent in December 2018.[9] After enrolling early, he left a strong impression with his high-octane performance during spring practice.[10]

During his freshman year in 2019, All played in 11 games as a tight end and also contributed on special teams.[7][11][12] His growth and dedication were apparent in his sophomore year in 2020, where he participated in all six games, and caught 12 passes for 82 yards. However, it was in his junior year (2021), when he caught 34 passes for 374 yards and bagged two touchdowns, that truly highlighted his growth in the sport.[14][15]

His performance was particularly memorable against Michigan State, where he caught 10 passes for 98 yards. Another shining moment came during a game against Penn State, where he overcame a high ankle sprain and managed to catch the game-winning touchdown pass, a thrilling 47-yard strike with just 3:29 left on the clock.[16][17]

Unfortunately, 2022 wasn’t a stellar year for All as he could only participate in three games (catching three receptions for 36 yards) due to a back injury that necessitated surgery.[18] Nevertheless, he remained undeterred and on December 5, 2022, announced his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal.[19] Eight days after this announcement, he transferred to Iowa.[20]

While playing at Iowa, Erick All demonstrated exceptional skill, notching 21 receptions, 299 yards, and 3 touchdowns, clearly a testament to his resolve and skill.
