Desmond Ridder is an up-and-coming National Football League (NFL) quarterback from Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born in 1997 and attended Princeton High School before heading off to the University of Cincinnati where he played college football for three years.

Ridder was a starter right out of high school, leading his team to a state title game as a junior. His senior year saw him throw for 30 touchdowns and over 2,000 yards while also rushing for 1,200 yards and 15 more scores. After graduating in 2015, he went on to play at the University of Cincinnati where he started all 12 games his freshman season. That year saw him lead the Bearcats to their first bowl game since 2012. In addition to throwing 17 touchdown passes that season, Ridder also rushed for eight scores while accumulating 581 yards on the ground — good enough for third-most among quarterbacks in the American Athletic Conference (AAC).

The following year saw Desmond become even more dynamic as both a passer and runner; he threw 26 touchdowns while rushing for nine more scores en route to leading Cincinnati back into another bowl game — this time with them winning it against Virginia Tech 33–17. From there Ridder continued his development during his junior campaign which ended with him being named AAC Offensive Player of Year after leading Cincy’s offense with nearly 3,500 total offensive yards and 31 combined passing/rushing touchdowns throughout 2019’s regular season schedule alone!

After declaring earlyfor the 2020 NFL Draft shortly thereafter, Desmond landed himself atop several draft boards due largely in parttohis arm potential alongsidethe dual threat abilityhe showcased during college ball;something that scouts felt could translate well at next level given proper development & coaching within pro ranks down line… Ultimately though it wasn’t until May1st whenhe was selected by Detroit Lionswith pick No..67overall—becomingthe fourth QB takenin process overall—that dream finally came true! Now entering 2021aspartof Matt Patricia’s roster& with franchise still searchingfor their next face under center longterm…it appearsthat everythingis setup fortalented signal callerfrom Buckeye stateto finally crack starting lineup come falland make name known around leagueonce again…no matter what happensthen however one thing’scertain: DesmondRidder has beenon path successsince day one &it doesn’t looklike changing anytime soon either!
