Daxton Jor-El Hill, more commonly referred to by his shortened name, Dax Hill, was born on the 29th of September, 2000. Celebrated for his skills in football, Hill is a celebrated professional athlete in the realm of American Football. As of 2022, he plays the cornerback position for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team in the National Football League (NFL).

Born and bred in the United States, Dax Hill primed his football skills at the University of Michigan. His prowess led him to being named in the All-Big Ten selection, a significant achievement during his college football years. Further testament to his skills, Hill was drafted in the first round by the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL draft of 2022.

The year 2020 brought forth even more opportunities for Hill. As a sophomore, he began six games, during which he recorded 46 tackles and one interception. His progress persisted in 2021 as he returned to Michigan a starter, bagging first-team all-conference honors. Seeing his escalating success, Hill declared for the NFL draft soon after the season concluded in 2021.

Being a sought-after player, Hill was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals during the first round of the NFL 2022 draft at the 31st overall placement. His rookie year was marked by him being eased into the fray by Bengals’ defensive coordinator, Lou Anarumo. He served as a back-up for Jessie Bates at free safety in addition to playing gunner on special team snaps, alongside Stanley Morgan.

Throughout his professional years, Hill gained significant experience and success. In Week 15, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Hill played his first game as a starting player after switching positions to cornerback due to injuries to both regular starter Mike Hilton and backup Jalen Davis the previous week. In that match, Hill recorded five solo tackles and three assisted tackles.

The Motivated and despite the challenges that came his way, Hill was named as the starting free safety in his second season. This promotion was accompanied by a career high in tackles in a game against the Baltimore Ravens. Additionally, Hill made his first career interception off quarterback Deshaun Watson during the Bengals’ Week 1 loss against the Cleveland Browns.

In a game against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3 of his second season, Hill made his first career sack, and went on to achieve another half-sack in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals. By his third season, Hill had developed his skills enough to shift into a cornerback position. Before the season started, Hill beat DJ Turner for the starting cornerback role.

Off the field, Hill carries a unique connection to his middle name, Jor-El, which is inspired by a comic book character. Apart from his achievements, Hill also takes pride in his brother, Justice Hill, who is a running back for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Justice’s skills were also recognized, leading him to be drafted by the Ravens in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft.
