Born on December 29, 1999, Darian Kinnard is a well-regarded professional American football player currently serving as an offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles, a team within the National Football League (NFL). His remarkable journey through the world of football began in his college years at Kentucky and continues to date in the NFL. From his humble beginnings in Ohio and Tennessee to the bright lights of the Super Bowl, Kinnard’s life history demonstrates not only his talent on the field but his tenacity for the sport.

Kinnard was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and his early years were spent moving from one city to another within the state of Tennessee. It was in Knoxville and later Kingsport where some of his earliest football roots were planted. He attended Dobyns-Bennett High School where he undoubtedly began to nurture his football talent. He then moved on and spent the rest of his formative years in Cleveland, Ohio. Here, he enrolled in Saint Ignatius High School after his freshman year.

By 2018, Kinnard’s prowess on the field was widely recognized. His talent earned him a spot in that year’s All-American Bowl – a clear testament to his great potential and esteem in the sport. After showcasing his skills in the All-American Bowl, he had to make the significant decision of which college football team to play for. Despite receiving lucrative offers from well-known football programs such as Penn State, UCLA, and Tennessee, Kinnard committed to the University of Kentucky.

In his first year at Kentucky, he played in nine games and made two starts as a true freshman. He solidified his place on the team during his sophomore season when he started all 13 games at right tackle for the Wildcats, Kentucky’s football team. He gained considerable recognition before his junior season, with CBS Sports naming him a preseason All-American and All-Southeastern Conference, a nod to his escalating success on the field.

Following his successful college football career at Kentucky, Kinnard realized his dream of making it to the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs selected him in the fifth round, making him the 145th overall pick in 2022. His first professional season ended on a high note, with Kinnard winning Super Bowl LVII when the Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite being waived by the team and landing on the Chiefs’ practice squad in August 2023, Kinnard triumphed through adversity, winning his second consecutive Super Bowl when the Chiefs emerged victorious against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.

The twists and turns of Kinnard’s career brought him full circle back to the city of his first Super Bowl win. On February 20, 2024, he inked a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, marking a momentous start to his new journey in the NFL.
