Emani Bailey Bio
Emani Bailey, an American professional football running back, was born on November 28, 2001. Currently, Bailey is a free agent but his journey to professional football is rooted in his high school and collegiate accomplishments. His introduction to the world of competitive football began as he attended Billy Ryan High School in Denton, Texas.
Throughout his high school football career, Bailey showcased immense potential and talent, rushing for a staggering 4,026 yards and 51 touchdowns. Such prolific statistics prompted the University of Louisiana to extend an offer to Bailey. With the enthusiasm to play college football, Bailey committed to the University of Louisiana, marking the beginning of his collegiate football journey.
Bailey’s 2020 collegiate season at the University of Louisiana was a true testament to his resilience and potential. As a true freshman, he appeared in five games, managing to rush for 60 yards on 10 carries. This athletic performance was just a small footprint in his expedition to professional football.
In his sophomore year (2021), Bailey displayed significant improvement in his performances. He competed in 11 games, and successfully completed 102 carries for 642 yards and recorded a remarkable eight touchdowns. However, at the end of this season, Bailey intended to explore new opportunities and entered the transfer portal, leading to his transfer to Texas Christian University (TCU).
During his first year at TCU, Bailey found himself in a challenging position as the third running back behind Kendre Miller and Emari Demercado. Nonetheless, he played in 14 games, finished 31 carries for 250 yards, and scored two touchdowns. Bailey’s diligence and determination paid off in 2023 when he became TCU’s starting running back.
Bailey’s transition from collegiate to professional football began after the 2024 NFL draft when he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs. His talent did not go unnoticed by the United Football League (UFL) either. The Birmingham Stallions selected Bailey in the third round of the 2024 UFL draft on July 17. Unfortunately, his time with the Kansas City Chiefs was cut short as he was waived by the club on August 27, 2024, and re-signed to their practice squad. He was ultimately released on November 6.
Emani Bailey’s love for football seems to be a family affair. His brother, Jordyn Bailey, is also a reputable member of TCU’s football team. Throughout his journey, Bailey has depicted his talent, persistence, and determination, carving a unique path towards professional success in American Football.
