Chandler Brewer's Biography

Chandler Wade Brewer is an eminent American professional football guard, born on the 12th of June, 1997. In his undaunted journey through the professional football career, he has adorned the uniforms of Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams, and as of now, stands as an independent free agent seeking to expand his horizons.

Beginning his collegiate football career at Middle Tennessee, Brewer offered a commendable contribution to the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. Over four noteworthy seasons, Brewer punctuated his presence in the sport by playing in 52 games, alongside setting an admirable track record that would precede him.

During his senior year, Brewer displayed an undying commitment to his team and the sport by starting in all 14 games of Middle Tennessee’s season. It was a notable year for Brewer, as he was recognized with the prestigious title of the first-team All-Conference USA. However, the year held unexpected trials too, as he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma during the summer break. Despite the life-altering diagnosis, Brewer stood unwavering both on and off the field and underwent radiation treatment amid his games.

Brewer ventured on to his professional football career post graduation by signing as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Rams on April 27, 2019. Although waived during the end-of-training camp final roster cuts, Brewer made a prompt return to the Rams as a member of their practice squad on September 1, 2019. His resilient and steadfast performance led to a promotion to the Rams active roster just two months later on November 13, 2019. Making his NFL debut on November 17, 2019, against the Chicago Bears, Brewer played in seven games in his remarkable rookie season.

However, the 2020 season was marked by the advent of the global COVID-19 pandemic, leading Brewer to opt-out that season. He was waived by the Rams on August 31, 2021, but found his way back to the practice squad almost immediately. Brewer’s steadfast commitment earned him his first Super Bowl ring when the Rams snatched victory against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.

In February 2022, Brewer signed a reserve/future contract with the Rams and was waived that August 30 – but not for long. He became part of the Rams’ practice squad again and was elevated to the active roster for a short period on October 3, 2022. However, an MCL sprain led to him being placed on injured reserve on November 16, 2022, pausing his career momentarily until he was activated back on December 31, 2022.

The following year, Brewer signed a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but got released that August and became part of the practice squad again. Brewer was then signed to the active roster on November 27, but a sudden change spotted him being waived on December 30. Despite inevitable challenges, he showed his relentless spirit by signing a reserve/future contract on January 8, 2024.

Unfortunately, Brewer experienced another setback later that year when he was placed on injured reserve with an unknown injury in June. He was then released a month later. Despite the travails, Brewer’s unwavering passion for the sport led him to sign a contract with the New Orleans Saints on July 27, 2024. However, an injury designation resulted in him being waived on August 6.
