Bobby Price's Biography

Bobby Miguel Price was born on April 25, 1998, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Of Puerto Rican descent, Price showed early promise in his athletic endeavors, ultimately leading him to a career as a professional football cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). Currently, he plies his trade for the Washington Commanders. However, before he stepped onto professional fields, Price was a standout player in college football and a key member of the Norfolk State Spartans.

Performance-wise, Price’s freshman season started on a high note. Despite only playing in nine games, he started in four of them, as a free safety – an impressive feat for such a young player. His exploits didn’t merely stick to the starting lineup; in the following season, Price not only started in all 11 games, he also ranked fourth on the team in terms of performance. His 69 tackles tied him for 18th position in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) that season.

Keeping the momentum alive, in his junior year, Price partook ten games, starting in all. He continued his high ranking, taking fourth place on his team with 59 tackles made. His play statistics were impressive, posting 2.5 tackles-for-loss, two interceptions, and defending ten passes. His impressive performance didn’t go unnoticed – Price received All-MEAC third-team honors at the end of the season.

However, Price’s prowess wasn’t limited to football alone – he was also a member of the Norfolk State University’s track and field team. He showcased his athletic skills in the long jump event, placing fourth in the MEAC indoor championships and winning the outdoor long jump championship.

Coming off a successful junior season, Price’s senior year was even more triumphant. He was promoted to the position of strong safety, playing all 12 games of the season. His stats show he made 73 tackles, including 2.5 tackles-for-loss, eight pass breakups, two recovered fumbles, and returned an interception 84 yards for a touchdown. Once again, his performance landed him in the All-MEAC second-team honors.

After bidding farewell to college football, Price moved on to the professional leagues. Despite not being picked in the 2020 NFL Draft, he was signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2020. Unfortunately, he was waived during the final roster cuts on September 5, 2020, but joined the team’s practice squad the next day.

Challenging times faced Price when he was moved around the team for a while. However, his perseverance bore fruit when he was promoted to the active roster on January 2, 2021. The following year proved difficult, with Price being put on injured reserve on October 22, 2022.

A new chapter opened for Price when he signed with the Arizona Cardinals on June 5, 2023. During this stint, he saw the same pattern of being waived and re-signed to the practice squad, which happened on August 29, 2023. Later that season, Price joined the active roster on October 26, 2023, before being placed on injured reserve on November 7, 2023. He was later activated on December 30, 2023.

Despite his efforts, Price was waived by the Cardinals as part of the final roster cuts before the start of the 2024 season. However, as if fate was writing his narrative, Price was called upon shortly after his release in Arizona. On August 28, 2024, he signed with the Washington Commanders’ practice squad—a new beginning for Bobby Miguel Price, who has shown the football world his deep resilience and determination to succeed.
