Anthony Bradford, an accomplished American professional football guard for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, was born on April 28, 2001, in Muskegon, Michigan. A stalwart of both the offensive line and defense, Bradford marked his early years with remarkable prowess on the field, building a reputation as a highly regarded offensive lineman and contributing consistently to his high school team’s winning streak, including a notable run of 27 consecutive victories.

Bradford’s high school football career at Muskegon High School led to him becoming known for his versatile skill set, shining in both the guard and tackle positions. His talent was recognized on a state and national level. He was ranked as the third best football player in the state of Michigan and the 11th best offensive tackle in the United States, as per the renowned sports website, Rivals.com. These accomplishments led him to consistently earn the prestigious title of a ‘consensus four-star prospect’.

Following his impressive high school career, Bradford received numerous scholarship offers from the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). After considering his options, he committed to playing for Louisiana State University (LSU), a decision that would go on to shape his future career.

Bradford redshirted his true freshman year at LSU in 2019. Despite his rookie status, he managed to participate in three games of LSU’s victorious national championship season. His second season saw him making his mark in seven games, with the majority of his playing time being on special teams. The 2021 season started promisingly for Bradford, with five starts in the first six games, but an injury cut short his season.

Showing incredible grit and determination, Bradford bounced back stronger in 2022, where he proved himself a crucial player for the LSU team. The team’s record improved from 6-7 the previous year to 10-4, qualifying for the conference championship. Bradford played in 13 games and started in 12, providing a significant boost to his standing.

Despite missing a match against Mississippi State due to undisclosed reasons, he remained a pillar for the team on the field, appearing on 899 snaps through the year and only allowing four sacks, while being called for just two penalties. Bradford’s strength remained his right guard position, evidenced by the 736 snaps he took in that position alone in his final year at college.

Following the season, Bradford declared for the NFL draft. He wrapped up his time at LSU having played in 29 games and started in seventeen of them, exhibiting impressive versatility by stepping into three different positions on the line throughout his time at university.

There were varied projections for Bradford’s fate in the 2023 NFL draft, with some speculating he would be selected in the duration of the draft, while others predicted he would be an undrafted free agent.
