Santi Aldama Bio
Santi Aldama is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Spanish men’s national team and Liga ACB club Real Madrid. He was born in January 1996 in Valencia, Spain, and began playing basketball at an early age after being inspired by his father Alberto Aldama who played professionally for Valencia BC. Santi quickly developed into one of the top prospects in European basketball and earned himself a place on the Spanish U-16 national team where he had great success before deciding to make the jump to the senior level in 2013.
At just 17 years old, Santi was already making a name for himself with some impressive performances for CB Canarias. The following season saw him move from Canarias to Laboral Kutxa Baskonia where he continued his development as one of Europe’s most promising young players. His time with Baskonia saw him win two Liga ACB titles (2015/16 & 2016/17) and two Copa del Rey championships (2014/15 & 2017/18). In total, he made 159 appearances over three seasons with them scoring 1674 points but it wasn’t until 2018 that he truly announced himself on a global stage at Eurobasket 2017 when Spain finished fourth after losing to Slovenia in the bronze medal match.
Following this tournament, Santi signed up with EuroLeague powerhouse Real Madrid agreeing upon a five-year contract which allowed him to stay close to home as well as continue developing under some of Europe’s best coaches and teammates such as Sergio Llull and Rudy Fernandez amongst others. However despite having better resources available at Real Madrid comparedto previous clubs; his role has been reduced significantly due mainly because of their overall depth throughout all positions which has resulted in limited playing time off bench or only spot minutes here or there when needed during regular season matches against lesser opponents instead of competing heavily against stronger opponents like those involved within euroleague play-off tournaments . This hasn’t prevented Santi from becoming an integral part of their roster though – especially if you consider how important his role is when it comes down working hard during practice sessions behind closed doors so that other more experienced players can remain fit enough during crunch times towards end parts games they take part within competitions; whether its international tournaments or local leagues they’re participating inside(NBL ,LEB etc.).
Despite not getting much playing time lately, this hasn’t stopped other teams around Europe from expressing interested signing him away from real madrid ; however due too club rules imposed by liga acb regulations ,they are unable sign another team unless mutually agreed upon both sides coming together without any financial compensation exchanged between them due release clause included inside original contract agreement between santi&realmadrid back when initially signed long term deal few years ago.. All these factors have put santi in unique position negotiations process amidst ongoing speculation what lies ahead career wise once restricted free agent status reached summer 2021 . With such bright future ahead ,There no doubt many fans expectant see further successes come way soon !
