Janelle Salaün is a French forward for the Golden State Valkyries. Born September 5, 2001, she is listed at 6-foot-2. Salaün initially signed with Golden State on February 5, 2025, ahead of the franchise’s inaugural WNBA season. As of September 11, 2026, she remains on the Valkyries’ roster; the WNBA player profile says she signed a multiyear contract with the club on April 12, 2026.
Before joining the WNBA, Salaün played professionally in France and Italy. Golden State noted that she helped Villeneuve-d’Ascq win the 2024 French league championship, then played for Famila Schio, which won the 2024–25 Italian league title. Internationally, she started for France during its silver-medal run at the Paris 2024 Olympics and later represented the national team at EuroBasket Women 2025. Salaün earned WNBA All-Rookie Team recognition following her first season. A versatile frontcourt player, she brings scoring range and the defensive mobility to match up across all five positions.
