The UFC Vegas 72 weigh-ins are officially over, and the fighters are ready to step into the Octagon tomorrow night. It was a busy day at the APEX facility in Las Vegas, as all 20 fighters hit the scale. It was an interesting sight to see so many athletes under one roof, each with their own unique style and personality.
One of the most notable moments of today’s weigh-ins came when main event headliner Bryce Mitchell weighed in at 155 pounds on his second attempt after initially missing weight by half a pound. This caused some concern among many fans who questioned why he wasn’t able to make weight without having to take another trip back up onto the scale. However, it seems like there were no major issues related to this oversight since both fighters still made championship weight for their title fight tomorrow night.
The co-main event also had its own set of drama during today’s weigh-in festivities when number six ranked featherweight contender Calvin Kattar stepped onto the scale weighing slightly heavier than expected at 145.5 pounds; this would have normally resulted in him immediately being disqualified from competing but fortunately for him, his opponent Dan Ige agreed that they could compete even if he did not cut any more weight prior to their bout tomorrow night!
Many other fights were also announced today including two additional featherweight bouts between Alex Caceres vs Kevin Aguilar and Movsar Evloev vs Nate Landwehr; both men looked very sharp during today’s weigh ins and it should be an exciting battle between these two talents tomorrow night!
The rest of UFC Vegas 72’s card is filled with plenty more talent which includes heavyweights Alexander Romanov taking on Denijel Vulevic; bantamweights Pedro Munhoz facing off against Omar Morales; along with newcomers Sean Woodson meeting Luke Sanders in a 140lb catchweight bout! All four men looked focused and ready as they showed up earlier today on time for their respective match ups!
As expected from any major MMA card happening anywhere around world, UFC Vegas 72 looks like it will be an action packed show that will surely entertain millions worldwide come Saturday evening! With excitement already building surrounding some high profile matches – fans can look forward to witnessing some spectacular performances hopefully leaving us all stunned by what we’ll witness inside of TUF APEX center once again tonight!!
