BIOGRAPHY

Tracy Cortez is an American mixed martial artist and professional wrestler currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She was born on August 17, 1996 in Dallas, Texas. Growing up she was involved in sports such as football, basketball and wrestling. From a young age, she had a passion for combat sports and began training at just 15 years old with her brother’s jiu-jitsu gym.

Cortez made her MMA debut in 2013 at the age of 17. She fought mostly locally throughout Texas where she earned a record of 6-2 before signing with Invicta FC in 2019. At Invicta FC 34: Spencer vs Sorenson, she defeated Mariya Agapova via unanimous decision to win the inaugural women’s flyweight championship title before joining UFC later that year.

In 2020 Tracy Cortez made her much anticipated UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 174 against Vanessa Melo where she won via TKO (punches) early into the second round making it her seventh consecutive victory all by finish within two rounds or less! Her performance impressed fans around the world who praised her technique and discipline inside the octagon earning her “Performance of The Night” honors for that fight. In 2021 Cortez faced Sarah Alpar winning by UD which furthered solidified herself as one of top contenders for the Flyweight title placing 8th overall according to official rankings released by USATF/MMAJunkie earlier this year following this impressive victory over Alpar making it 9 straight wins since turning pro back in 2017!

Outside of fighting Tracy enjoys spending time with family & friends when not focused on further pushing herself towards excellence within combat sports entertainment industry!
