BIOGRAPHY
Tamires Vidal is an outstanding female athlete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She won multiple gold medals and championships, including the Brazilian MMA Flyweight Title. She has earned her reputation in martial arts circles as one of the top grapplers on the planet.
Vidal was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and started training when she was eleven years old. She trained for five years before competing professionally at sixteen. In 2011, Vidal made a name for herself by becoming the champion of Brazilian MMA’s flyweight division after beating Paula Sousa with a rear-naked choke submission during their fight. From then onwards, she continued to make history as one of Brazil’s most skilled fighters; winning titles such as Rio de Janeiro State Champion (2012), National Grappling Champion (2012), South American Jiu-Jitsu Championship Gold Medalist (2013) and even participating in an exclusive invitation-only grappling tournament called Copa Podio Middleweight Grand Prix Finalist where she competed against some of the best international opponents from different styles like Judo, Sambo or Wrestling.
As soon as Vidal stepped into UFC octagon it was clear that she was ready to represent her country with pride and fight hard until victory – which happened twice already! Her debut fight against Mara Romero Borella ended with a split decision win for Vidal but what followed afterwards were two huge victories over Taila Santos via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 183 (2020) and later versus Montana De La Rosa at UFC on ESPN 21 where Tamires secured another dominant win due to judges scorecards making it three consecutive wins since joining promotion organization roster earlier this year. She currently holds 4th place among strawweights according to official rankings by UFC website adding even more recognition that this incredibly talented fighter deserves amongst other athletes within mixed martial arts world today – no doubt we’ll be seeing more impressive performances from Tamires very soon!
