Nicolae Negumereanu

BIOGRAPHY

Nicolae Negumereanu is an accomplished professional fighter who competes in the UFC’s Middleweight division. Born in Romania, Nicolae began his martial arts journey when he was just a kid. He trained in karate and kickboxing as a child, but it wasn’t until he was 21 that he began to compete professionally.

Since then, Nicolae has won numerous titles throughout Europe and the US including becoming a two time Romanian National Champion and winning the WKF Amateur World Championship title at middleweight. In 2015, he made his way into MMA competition by joining the Cage Warriors promotion. Over four years of competing with them, Nic earned an impressive 7-1 record while gaining valuable experience both inside and outside of the cage-most notably participating on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Joanna vs Team Cláudia season (TUF 23).

Nicolae’s time on TUF showcased his determination and skill by going 4-1 during the show before being eliminated via split decision against undefeated prospect Eric Spicely in episode eight. After leaving TUF without any wins for himself but illustrating how determined of a fighter he is; Nic signed with UFC few months later where had three successful bouts so far all resulting from unanimous decisions from judges. As well as being known for great grappling skills, Nico is also appreciated by many because of his ability to stay composed under pressure even if put in bad situations or taken down multiple times throughout one fight; this makes him able to outlast opponents until they tire out which often leads him to win fights due to judges scorecards favoring striking over takedowns / grappling exchanges which carries more points towards total scorecard at end of each round plus after whole fight ends too according to Unified Rules Of MMA used by most major promotions worldwide like UFC itself .
