Miguel Baeza is a UFC Welterweight fighter who has made his mark on the sport with his impressive skill set, fiery attitude and highly entertaining style of fighting. A native of Miami, Florida, he began training in martial arts at the age of 12 and soon developed into an accomplished competitor. With a 9-0 record in professional MMA as well as an amateur title under his belt, Miguel burst onto the scene in 2019 with back-to-back wins over Matt Brown and Stephen Thompson – ultimately earning him ‘Performance of The Night’ honors for each fight respectively.
At 30 years old, Baeza stands 6’1 tall and weighs 170lbs; making him one of the biggest fighters at welterweight. This natural size advantage combined with world class striking ability makes for one lethal combination inside the octagon – something that was readily apparent from his first UFC showing against Brown. Miguel showcased superior hand speed to land several heavy shot combinations throughout their 3 round affair; eventually putting away Brown via TKO late in round 3 to pick up arguably one of the best KO wins so far this year.
In terms of physical attributes, it doesn’t get much better than what Baeza can offer – boasting formidable strength alongside top notch agility allowing him to close distance quickly while still throwing power shots accurately due to excellent footwork & head movement which can be attributed partly to long time coach Ricardo Carrion whom he’s worked diligently under since day 1.. His strong grappling credentials also add another layer to his already versatile skill set; having competed extensively at Submission Wrestling & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments across Europe prior to turning professional in 2018 winning multiple titles along way before capping off dominating amateur career perfect 15-0 run by claiming WXC Amateur Lightweight strap few months after signing pro contract .
