BIOGRAPHY

Michael Figlak is a Polish mixed martial artist and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) competitor. He was born in Gdansk, Poland on October 9th 1982 and began his training in MMA at an early age.

Figlak has had an impressive career that includes multiple championships and world titles. His first major international competition was the European Open Championships in 2002, where he won gold medal in the -84 kg weight class. This win helped propel him onto the international stage as one of Europe’s leading fighters.

Since then, Figlak has gone on to capture multiple national championships throughout Europe as well as claiming two KSW welterweight championships; KSW 19 and KSW 22 respectively. In 2016 he made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 86: Rothwell vs Oleinik against fellow newcomer Damian Stasiak where he successfully submitted Stasiak via rear-naked choke submission in round three earning himself a Performance of the Night bonus from the promotion.
He followed this up with another successful outing against Mike Wilkinson at UFC Fight Night 99: Mousasi vs Hall 2 also receiving a Performance of The night bonus for his efforts after submitting Wilkinson via triangle choke submission midway through round 3 gaining widespread recognition among fans and commentators alike for his performance.
Figlak currently competes as an active fighter within the lightweight division of UFC where he remains undefeated with a record of 8-0-1 thus far including victories over top contenders such Conor McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov, former Bellator Lightweight Champion Will Brooks, TUF 15 alumni Chris Gruetzemacher & former WEC champion Jamie Varner .

Currently residing out of Warsaw Poland , Notable coaches/mentors/teammates include former PRIDE Middleweight Grand Prix champion Kazushi Sakuraba, LW champ Shinya Aoki & renowned striking coach Andy Souwer among others . With all that being said Michael Figlak is considered one of Polands most highly skilled athletes having achieved success both nationally & abroad quickly becoming a fan favorite within MMA circles worldwide & looks forward to continuing to make great strides within MMA community domestically & globally alike going forward into future
