BIOGRAPHY

Martin Day is an Australian mixed martial artist competing in the Flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He has made a name for himself in the world of MMA competition, earning multiple victories and becoming one of Australia’s top fighters. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Martin began his martial arts journey at just 10 years old when he joined a local karate school.

Day started training in Muay Thai as a teenager and soon made his professional debut as an amateur fighter against Grey Maynard at UFC Fight Night: London 2012. His career started off on the wrong foot however; he was submitted by Maynard via rear-naked choke. This fight seemed to be the wake up call that Day needed – from then on out he won nine straight fights before signing with UFC in 2019.

Throughout his professional fighting career Martin has trained under some of the most respected coaches such as Dan Henderson and Stephan Bonnar who have helped him hone his craft over time to become one of Australia’s best Flyweights. He possesses a plethora of skills which include elite striking accuracy, lightning quick speed and agility along with powerful grappling ability making him very difficult to neutralize inside the Octagon.

In 2020, Martin faced Jordan Espinosa at UFC 250 where he won via unanimous decision due to a dominant performance that showcased why so many people consider him one of Australia’s top fighters today. To date, Martin holds a record 11 wins (3 knockouts) 6 losses (1 submission). In 2021 Day faces Tim Elliott next month on February 27thatUFC Fight Night 185 where hopefully he will continue this winning streak!

Martin is determined to make history by becoming not only an Australian champion but also by becoming one of THE greatest flyweights ever in MMA history – showing everyone what hard work can do when done correctly & consistently! Throughout all his struggles within combat sports from early days until now; it’s been Matrin’s dedication towards success that sets him apartfrom other athletes .If you ever get chance ,make sure you watch this Aussie fighter perform because you are guaranteed to witness skillful technique & passion for victory!
