BIOGRAPHY

Maki Pitolo is a professional mixed martial artist and fighter based in the United States. He currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) under the middleweight division, having made his debut with the promotion on October 4, 2020.

Pitolo was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. His father owned a gym where he began training for MMA at an early age. After high school, he attended college in Honolulu before deciding to pursue a career as a professional fighter. He has since trained at various gyms across Hawaii and Las Vegas before finding his current home at Xtreme Couture Gym in Las Vegas.

Throughout his amateur career, Pitolo won several championships including two state titles while also competing on Fight Master: Bellator MMA which aired live on Spike TV during 2013-2014 season. Following that stint of success, Pitolo was offered contracts by both UFC and Bellator but opted to sign with what would later become known as Professional Fighters League (PFL). During his time there over three years from 2015-2018 he compiled an impressive 9-2 record which included wins over top contenders such as Yushin Okami and Matt Frevola respectively . Eventually after much success within the promotion , Maki decided it was time to take another step up , signing with UFC earlier this year .

Since joining UFC earlier this year , Maki has shown up big for each fight night card he’s competed on . Compiling an impressive 2 win 1 loss record thus far , most recently securing himself a unanimous decision victory against Darren Stewart back in August 2020 . Now that Maki is beginning to make waves within UFC Middleweight Division it will be interesting to see where this Hawaiian native can take things next when it comes down fight night cards going forward .

Outside of fighting professionally , Maki enjoys spending time with friends relaxing or playing sports such as basketball or football among other activities , when not prepping for upcoming fights that is ! As nice polite individual who always strives to better himself inside & out of the octagon alike it safe say we might have potential champion material here folks!
