BIOGRAPHY
Lucie Pudilova is an MMA fighter currently competing in the UFC’s women’s flyweight division. A Czech Republic native, Pudilova has been fighting professionally since 2013 and quickly worked her way up the ranks to become one of the top contenders in her weight class.
Pudilova began her martial arts career as a Judoka at age nine. She was drawn to the sport for its combination of strength, technique, and strategy. While she enjoyed success in this discipline, Pudilova found herself intrigued by mixed martial arts after watching early UFC events on television with her father. This interest eventually led to her taking up Muay Thai before transitioning into professional MMA competition at just 16 years old.
Competing primarily out of Prague’s Gladiator Fight Gym in the early part of her career, Lucie went unbeaten during a three-year span while competing on various European circuits such as Oktagon MMA and XFN (X Fighting Nations). During this period she would go on to win six fights – five wins coming via first-round submission – claiming both featherweight and bantamweight titles along the way.
In 2016 Lucie made headlines when it was announced that she had signed with Invicta FC following an 8-2 start to her professional career; becoming one of only two fighters from Central Europe to join their roster at that time. Here she would go 4–1 over a two year period defeating highly regarded opponents such as Karina Rodriguez and Sarah Kaufman throughout 2017–2018 respectively; earning “Fight Of The Night” honors for both bouts against said opponents in turn resulting from exciting back & forth battles inside the cage over those respective performances .
Finally signing with UFC prior April 2018 , Lucie has gone 2–3 thus far inside octagon competition making four appearances total through 2020 so far including recent high profile match ups against Irene Aldana & Liz Carmouche; having earned “Performance Of The Night” honors once more following scoring a massive upset victory against former title challenger Liz Carmouche during March 2019 edition ; emerging victorious by unanimous decision after going toe – to – toe across all three rounds versus aforementioned opponent.. Currently sitting at 11th place within official UFC rankings ,Lucie looks forward next set challenges ahead schedule soon enough…
