BIOGRAPHY
Julianna Pena is a world-renowned Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) athlete who has achieved great success in the sport. She is an American mixed martial artist from Spokane, Washington and competes in the bantamweight division of the UFC.
Pena attended Gonzaga University, where she was a standout wrestler for two years before enrolling at East Valley High School to finish high school. After finishing college and graduating with honors from Eastern Washington University with a degree in criminal justice, she began her professional MMA career in 2010.
In 2011, Pena won The Ultimate Fighter 18 which earned her an invitation to join the UFC roster. She made her official debut six months later against Milana Dudieva on October 5th 2013 at UFC Fight Night 33 where she won by unanimous decision becoming only one of two women ever to win The Ultimate Fighter tournament and become successful in their next fight as well. Since then she has gone 6-2 within the octagon taking wins over some of the top names including Cat Zingano and Valentina Shevchenko showing off her skills both standing up or on ground game while also showcasing impressive cardio during all five rounds if needed as well as stellar mental resilience when facing adversity inside octagon setting winning performance bonus multiple times during her career so far .
Outside of fighting Julianna loves spending time outdoors such as hunting deer or hiking local trails with friends whenever possible but given travel restrictions due to COVID 19 pandemic it’s not something that’s been happening recently unfortunately .
