BIOGRAPHY

Javid Basharat is a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He began his career in 2011 and has had an impressive rise to success. Born and raised in Scotland, he started training at a young age for various combat sports, including boxing and kickboxing.

It wasn’t until 2013 when Javid took part in a professional MMA fight that his career really started to take off. He won his first fight via unanimous decision, securing him a spot on the Scottish circuit of MMA fighters. From there he went on to win six fights before being signed by the UFC in 2016.

Since then Javid has gone from strength-to-strength as an MMA fighter, with two wins inside the octagon against notable opponents such as former world champion Daniel Cormier and top prospect Ovince Saint Preux. His biggest victory was over Antonio Carlos Junior at UFC Fight Night 156 where he earned himself ‘Performance of The Night’ honours for his dominating knockout finish of Carlos Junior late into the second round.

Outside of fighting Javid can often be found teaching group classes or running seminars around Scotland on all aspects of self defence from grappling and ground work to basic striking techniques. A passionate grappler himself; when not preparing for upcoming fights you can find him rolling with some of Scotland’s best Jiu jitsu coaches focusing on technique rather than trying to win every roll which is something very unique about him among other MMA fighters who are more focused solely winning their fights rather than developing themselves further technically through grappling exchanges with experienced BJJ black belts .

He also enjoys spending time away from training with friends engaging in outdoor activities like rock climbing or hiking which provides physical benefits alongside mental clarity allowing better focus during fight preparations .
