BIOGRAPHY

Fabio Cherant is a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athlete from Brazil. He currently competes in the UFC’s middleweight division.

Born on June 21, 1988, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Fabio Cherant was raised by his father and mother who are both martial arts enthusiasts. His parents encouraged him to pursue a career in martial arts at an early age and he began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 9. At 11 years old, he began competing in BJJ tournaments around the world and was soon recognized as one of the top prospects coming out of Brazil’s fight scene.

At 17 years old he made his professional MMA debut which kicked off an illustrious career that has seen him win 14 fights and lose only four times throughout his entire career thus far. Of those 14 wins 12 have come by way of knockout or submission with only two ending via decision victories. He holds notable wins over names such as Carlos Diego Ferreira, Oskar Piechota and Markus Perez just to name a few important ones plus some other ones vs unknown fighters before signing with UFC . In August 2020 he signed with Ultimate Fighting Championship making his promotional debut against Antonio Arroyo at UFC Fight Night: Waterson vs Hill on October 3rd 2020 where unfortunately he suffered a loss via split decision despite having full control for most part during all three rounds..

Throughout Fabio’s entire fighting career so far , we’ve seen him display high level ground game combined with crisp striking on feet which allowed him to showcase what could be best described as “complete mixed martial artist” skillset . Since joining up with UFC , we’ve yet to see how well this skillset fits against higher competition being that most fights ended within first or second round due prior opponents not being able to handle pressure applied by young Brazilian fighter but one thing is certain – no matter opponent standing across Octagon cage – fans should expect nothing less than absolute war when it comes time for Fabio Cherant entering into ring looking for another victory inside octagon cage !
