Ed “Short Fuse”Herman

Ed Herman is an American mixed martial artist, who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s light heavyweight division. He started out his career as a professional athlete back in 2004 and has since gone on to become one of the most successful fighters in the UFC.

Herman was born and raised on a farm near Portland, Oregon, which he credits with giving him the mental toughness that would help him to become one of the top fighters in his weight class. Ed began training jiu-jitsu when he was just 18 years old and quickly developed into a formidable grappler before trying out for The Ultimate Fighter Season 3 four years later. On that season, Herman made it all way to semi-finals where he lost by submission to Kendall Grove but still earned himself recognition from Dana White and Joe Silva who signed him up for a contract with UFC afterwards.

Since then Ed has gone on to compete regularly in the UFC’s light heavyweight division where he has managed some impressive victories over notable opponents such as Tim Credeur, Kyle Kingsbury, Jake Shields and Thales Leites among many others throughout his career. His most recent victory came against Nikita Krylov at UFC Fight Night 152: Dos Anjos vs Lee last year which saw him notch up another win via unanimous decision after three rounds of action packed fighting inside octagon cage
