Danny “The Hatchet”Henry

Danny Henry, born on July 17, 1988, is an accomplished Scottish professional mixed martial artist who has competed prominently in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). His prolific career in this premium division probably started on the streets of Scotland, where he developed a passion that transformed him into a renowned UFC fighter. Since embarking on his professional journey in 2011, Danny Henry quickly exhibited his prowess and tenacity, amassing an impressive record of 10-2 before joining the UFC.

Before his global acclaim, Henry honed his skills in South Africa. Competing under the banner of the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) Worldwide, the majority of his fights were staged there. Making waves in the fighting scene, his final bid under EFC Worldwide saw him beating Igeu Kabesa for the featherweight championship. He was then poised to take on Mike Davis on September 26, 2019, at UFC Fight Night 160 but had to back out mid-September due to unspecified reasons, leading to Davis getting pulled from the card.

Henry was also scheduled to fight Peter Barrett, a promotional newcomer, on April 25, 2020. This event was, however, postponed following an announcement by Dana White, the President of UFC. He then faced Makwan Amirkhani on July 12, 2020, at UFC 251, which unfortunately culminated in a defeat via a submission in round one.

Known for his resilience, Henry was expected to bounce back in a bout with Ricardo Ramos on September 3, 2022, at UFC Fight Night 209. Nevertheless, Henry withdrew from the bout for undisclosed reasons, leading to its cancellation.
