Collin Anglin is a professional mixed martial arts fighter and member of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He began training in MMA in 2010, after competing in grappling tournaments. Since entering the UFC, Collin has become one of its most successful competitors; he holds a 9-4 record and is currently ranked #14 in the Middleweight division.
Born on April 5th 1988 in Boca Raton, Florida, Collin grew up with an interest in sports and physical activity. As a child, he enjoyed playing football and basketball as well as other outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. In high school, he joined his first tournament team for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which sparked an interest that would eventually lead him to pursue MMA professionally.
In 2011 at just 23 years old, Collin made his professional debut with freestyle fighting promotion Xtreme Fight Night. After winning seven consecutive fights there over two years time he signed with Bellator Fighting Championships where he competed from 2013 to 2015 before making his move to the UFC.
In 2016 Collin earned himself “Fight of The Year” honors at UFC 205 when he won by submission against Tyson Pedro following some back-and-forth action on the mat during their three round bout that ended up being an instant classic for fans around the world. Following this win it seemed that nothing could slow him down; however 2017 would prove difficult when injuries kept him sidelined until June 2018 when he returned to fight Uriah Hall who replaced Lyoto Machida at short notice due to injury concerns leading into their scheduled match up at UFC 226 – ultimately resulting in a split decision loss for Collin while still maintaining respect between both men despite their competitive rivalry throughout all three rounds of competition inside Madison Square Garden Arena that night..
Now recovered from those past injuries while enjoying success on various European stages since rejoining combat sport competition earlier this year including recent wins against Maxim Grishin & Kenneth Bergh respectively under KSW & CWFC promotional banners before signing back onto another multi fight deal recently announced within last month alongside MGM Resorts International’s exclusive Las Vegas based series held within T Mobile Arena featuring current reigning light heavyweight champion Jon Jones amongst many other top tier talent already committed towards taking part upon forthcoming events set out throughout upcoming months ahead later this year or early 2021 potentially if not delayed further due only due potential unforeseen circumstances related directly concerning COVID 19 pandemic worldwide ..
