BIOGRAPHY

Bevon Lewis (born April 4, 1994) is an American professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was born and raised in Floral Park, New York and began his amateur career at age 19.

In 2016, Lewis turned professional after winning a Welterweight Tournament with ring-side doctors halting two of his bouts due to strikes delivered by him to his opponent’s head or body. During that year he signed with Bellator MMA and went on to win four fights consecutively which led him to sign a multi-fight contract with them. Unfortunately he was released later that year as he needed surgery on a knee injury preventing him from fighting for more than nine months. Following this period Bevon bounced back and in 2017 signed up with LFA where he then won six consecutive fights before being called up by the UFC in 2018 following one victory over former title challenger Ray Borg at LFA 44 (Lewis’ seventh straight win).
Beven’s debut fight came against Uriah Hall where despite fighting well early in the first round he eventually succumbed to defeat via arm triangle choke submission after being taken down late on by Hall only moments away from surviving until the end of round one having been dominated throughout most of it. Despite this loss, Bevon made sure not too long afterwards that it would be forgotten about as soon as possible when at UFC Fight Night 131: Rivera vs Moraes; five weeks later – won via unanimous decision over Dequan Townsend who had previously defeated notable fighters such as Elias Theodorou & Karl Roberson whilst partaking under Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series program showing that Lewis could compete with established talent within the UFC roster already so early into his career there

Since signing with UFC, Bevon has competed five times overall but unfortunately has yet to claim victory inside octagon still looking for first official win inside octagon since joining ranks officially however those losses have come against some very noteworthy opposition including current Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya & surging prospect Darren Stewart either side of two split decisions losses respectively making three loses outta five all coming via highly competitive match ups . As indicated earlier though ,his last outing saw him put forth a strong effort against Stewart going deep into third round which showed potential signs for given opportunity next time around & also working alongside Sean Shelby along side legendary coach Greg Jackson Lewis should develop further more refining skills required for success within UFC organisation . Looking ahead , it will be interesting how things progress for young fighter who is still yet to hit peak years 26yrs old ,with right resources few set backs here n’ there should really see growth led performance push forward even further excellence
