BIOGRAPHY

Miranda Granger is a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) athlete and the current UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion. She hails from Portland, Oregon and began her combat sports career in 2016. After competing in several amateur bouts, she made her professional debut soon after in 2017 with a stunning first-round victory over veteran opponent Holly Holm via submission.

Since then, Miranda has gone on to become one of the top fighters on the women’s side of MMA. In 2020, she earned a call up to compete for the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship after defeating former titleholder Valentina Shevchenko by unanimous decision at UFC 251. That night would mark the beginning of her historic reign as champion which includes an impressive six successful title defenses against world-class opponents like Ilima Macfarlane, Jessica Eye and Katlyn Chookagian.

Throughout her career so far, Miranda has shown that she is one of the most well-rounded athletes in all of combat sports; possessing exceptional striking ability accompanied by an ever improving ground game – including submissions such as armbars and leg locks – that continue to be some of her greatest weapons inside the octagon.
