Tyler Biadasz's Biography

Tyler Biadasz, born on the 20th of November, 1997, and presently known as a successful American professional footballer, acts as the center for the Washington Commanders in the National Football League (NFL). His adolescent years and his initial exploration of football took root in the modest town of Amherst, Wisconsin, where he attended Amherst High School. It was during this time that he exhibited his prowess in football as a defensive tackle, landing him the first-team all-state acknowledgments for both his Junior and Senior years. He was a force to reckon with, finishing his high school career with an impressive record of 232 tackles, 19 sackings, and 3 touchdowns, not forgetting 11 forced fumbles, thereby earning him the esteemed Tim Krumrie Award for being Wisconsin’s top high school defensive lineman during his senior year. It wasn’t just football that he excelled at, as Biadasz also proved his mettle in basketball and baseball during his high school years.

Biadasz’s successful high school football journey resulted in him securing a place at the University of Wisconsin on June 8, 2015, joining the Wisconsin Badgers. He committed to Wisconsin, choosing it over Illinois State, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, and Western Illinois. He initially joined as a freshman, earning the third team all-Big Ten honors, and played 14 straight games for the college. This tenure was a stepping stone for Biadasz, transitioning him from his high school achievements to collegiate success.

As a sophomore, Biadasz solidified his position as the anchor of the offensive line, exhibiting his defensive tackle expertise by starting and excelling in all 13 games of the season. Following the 2018 season, Biadasz received an advisory to return to school from the NFL Draft Advisory Committee.

Biadasz’s talent and hard work didn’t go unnoticed as he was named to preseason All-American teams by College Football News and Sporting News in 2019. Unfortunately, during the start of the year, he had to take time off due to hip surgery but made an incredibly successful comeback and proved his worthmanship in the 14 games, bagging the Rimington Trophy for becoming the first player from his school to be named the best center in the country.

Biadasz declared that he would discontinue his senior season in January 2020 to prepare for the 2020 NFL draft. Standing as a true testament of his capability, he started and completed all the 41 games of his college career. He rose as a prominent player during his tenure, notably supporting running back Jonathan Taylor.

His career took a significant leap forward when he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round (146th overall) of the 2020 NFL draft. As a newbie in the scene, he substituted for an injured Joe Looney in his fifth game against the New York Giants, and managed to start 4 consecutive games until a hamstring injury forced him out of action during the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was consequently placed on injured reserve on November 21, 2020. Regardless of the injury setback, Biadasz made a quick recovery and was back by December 12, 2020.

When Biadasz returned to the field, he replaced Looney as the starting center in the last eight contests of the season. His first season as a center turned out to be victorious, when in 2021, he won a selection in the 2023 Pro Bowl.

Biadasz recently signed a three-year, thirty million dollar contract with the Washington Commanders on March 15, 2024. An important influence on his life has been his parents, who are humble dairy farmers.
