Pittsburgh signed Homer to a one-year contract on March 24, 2026, after he spent the 2023–2025 seasons with the Chicago Bears and the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks. Homer played college football at the University of Miami from 2016 through 2018 and was a two-time second-team All-ACC selection. Seattle selected him in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft with the 204th overall pick.
