Entering the professional realm, on January 13, 2018, Green officially announced his departure from college football to partake in the 2018 NFL Draft. This showcased his attendances at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis where he performed various combine drills excluding the bench press. Although, his past medical records such as surgery and reconstruction on his ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) in both knees invited a sense of discomfort among the teams.

Further cementing his position in the NFL on March 21, 2018, Green radiated confidence at the USC’s pro day but chose to stand on his combine scores and only performed in the positional drills. Green’s journey extended through pre-draft visits with the New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Chargers, and Los Angeles Rams.
