Quandre Mosely's Biography

Quandre Mosely, born May 8, 1999, has established himself as a noteworthy personality in the world of professional football. Currently a free agent, Mosely brings to the table a track record of performance that spans his high school years, through college football, and onto the NFL.

Native to Glynn Academy, Mosely played an instrumental role in his senior football team’s success with a record of 11 wins against just 2 losses. His contribution to the team, however, was not limited to the field- it transcended into his role as a wide receiver that was celebrated with All-state honorable-mention honors.

Post high school, Mosely’s football prowess found a new home in Eastern Arizona College. Here, he made a switch from wide receiver to safety and continued to prove his mettle. In his sophomore year itself, he garnered 50 tackles and led the league with six interceptions. He even returned an interception for a touchdown and had one fumble recovery. He was rewarded for his fine performances with All-Western States and All-League honors.

An opportunity at the University of Kentucky came knocking in Mosley’s junior year. He made the most of it with his appearances in all 13 games with two starts, realized 24 tackles, and delivered one sack and one interception. This, in addition to three passes defensed and five tackles against the University of Arkansas and the University of Tennessee at Martin, provided glimpses of his ripening potential.

Transitioning into his senior year, Mosely appeared in 10 games and posted an impressive 19 tackles and two passes defensed, including a remarkable performance against the University of Alabama with six tackles and two passes defensed.

In his fifth year as a senior, Mosley was in full stride, registering 26 tackles, five passes defensed, and two interceptions across 13 games. He also returned an interception against New Mexico State University that resulted in a touchdown.

Mosely’s entry into the NFL is a tale of perseverance. As an undrafted free agent, he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys after the 2022 NFL draft but was waived later that August. However, Mosely did not let go of his dream. He knocked on the doors of the Philadelphia Eagles and later joined the practice squad of the Seattle Seahawks. Here again, his tenure was short-lived, and he was released within a month.

Undeterred by the seemingly revolving doors of opportunities, Mosely was signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad in October 2022. He was released towards the end of November after which he would join the New England Patriots practice squad in December. Mosely signed a reserve/future contract in January 2023 but was waived in August.

Mosely’s journey then led him back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ practice squad in November 2023 where he signed another reserve/future contract in early 2024. However, Mosely was released by the team in May 2024 after the rookie mini-camp.

His most recent leap in professional football was on August 19, 2024, when he signed with the Carolina Panthers. However, his stay here, too, was fairly brief and he was waived by August 27. Despite the upheavals on his professional journey, Mosely’s determination and resilience are evidence of why he holds such a valued place in American football.
