Michael Ojemudia, born on September 12, 1997, is an exemplary American professional football cornerback who was a free agent as of the latest update. Ojemudia’s football journey started during his high school years at Harrison High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan. During this time, he was consistently impressive, which saw various universities offer him scholarships, including Indiana, Wyoming, and Eastern Michigan. Nevertheless, Ojemudia eyed and hoped for scholarship offers from Michigan and Michigan State, which unfortunately never materialized. Consequently, Ojemudia committed to the University of Iowa as a linebacker and kick-started his college football career on January 28, 2015.

Ojemudia’s university journey and football career at Iowa saw several transitions in his roles, along with personal growth. After redshirting his freshman year at Iowa, he transitioned from a safety to a cornerback role. His phenomenal performance saw him play in every game during his redshirt freshman year. Ojemudia gradually started gaining prominence, earning a spot in the starting lineup during his sophomore and junior year. A midseason benching didn’t deter Ojemudia; instead, his play improved thereafter. His commendable performance and growth culminated in a permanent starting role during his senior season.

After concluding his senior season, Ojemudia had the opportunity to participate in both the 2020 Senior Bowl and the 2020 NFL Combine due to his incredible performance. Following the successful appearances, he boldly declared for the 2020 NFL draft. His excellent performance in the Senior Bowl undoubtedly increased his draft stock, leading to a positive shift in his projected draft position. Consequently, he was drafted in the third round by the Denver Broncos in the 2020 NFL Draft.

He finished his rookie season appearing in all 16 games, impressively recording 62 combined tackles.

During his second training stint in the NFL, Ojemudia found his roles shifted a bit in response to personnel changes within the team.
