Micah Abraham

Micah Abraham is a celebrated professional football player, whose dynamic career as an American cornerback has graced the National Football League (NFL). Born on December 11, 2000, in warm, sunshine-filled Tampa, Florida, Micah is the youngest of three siblings. This significant chapter in his life shaped him into an inspiring figure within the world of football.

Like his father, Donnie Abraham, a revered Pro Bowl cornerback, and his cousin Tim Jennings, Micah displayed an intrinsic talent for the sport at a young age. Football coursed through their family’s blood. Inspired by family legacy and driven by a personal passion for the game, he also found inspiration in his brother, Devin, who played college football. The love for football thus ran deep in the family, culminating to his successful career in the NFL.

Micah’s journey began in the challenging yet nurturing environment of East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs, where he honed his skills both in football and track events. His determination and drive earned him an array of awards and recognition, including the coveted All-Region honors in both sports. It was during his time at East Lake that Micah emerged as a promising three-star recruit. He committed his future to Marshall Thundering Herd, a well-reputed institution for grooming budding football talent.

His tenure at Marshall launched his impressive career into the limelight. As a true freshman in 2019, he showcased his talent, securing the position of a starter halfway through the season. His selection as Freshman All-Conference USA marked Micah as a rising star. Participation in all 13 games, seven as a starter, gave him the opportunity to amass a respectable 36 tackles, an interception and defended three passes in one season.

Upon transitioning to a cornerback position in 2020, Micah featured in 10 games, starting once, and recording nine tackles. Despite a brief stint away from the starting lineup, Micah returned for the subsequent three seasons in full force as a permanent starter for the revered Marshall Thundering Herd. He cemented his position among the top-ranking players, meriting second-tier All-Conference USA honors in 2021, and first-team All-Sun Belt Conference distinctions in 2022 and 2023. His status as a conference leader in passes defended and interceptions remained unchallenged for three consecutive years.

The sixth round of the coveted 2024 NFL draft marked his entry into the awe-inspiring world of the NFL. Micah was picked 201st overall by the Indianapolis Colts, but success came along with life’s harsh realities. The reality of the competitive world saw him waived on August 27. However, remaining resolute and determined, Micah found another opportunity to keep his NFL dreams alive. He tacitly signed with the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad on October 8, 2024.

His formidable college career witnessed him play a mammoth 62 games, 46 as a starter, leaving his mark with an impressive line of 150 tackles, 12 interceptions, and 55 total passes defended.
