Keaontay Ingram is an American football running back for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on July 27, 1999 in Henderson, Texas. Ingram attended Carthage High School and earned second-team all-state honors his senior season.

After high school, Keaontay committed to play college football at The University of Texas at Austin (UT). As a freshman in 2017, he played in 12 games and rushed for 602 yards and three touchdowns on just 85 carries. He also added 13 receptions for 132 yards receiving that same year.

As a sophomore in 2018, Keaontay started nine games at running back while appearing in all 13 contests for UT’s squad that would go on to win the Big 12 conference championship game against Oklahoma . During this season he compiled 850 rushing yards with six touchdowns alongside 28 catches for 250 receiving yards and another touchdown.
