At Ohio State, he was a 2020 captain, first-team All-Big Ten selection and Rimington Trophy finalist. His move to center after beginning his college career at guard highlighted the intelligence, communication and leadership demanded in the middle of an offensive line. Packers scouting coverage described his game in terms of toughness, physicality and football intelligence.
