Josh Jacobs is an American football running back for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted 24th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft after attending college at the University of Alabama. Jacobs has since become one of the league’s premier players, earning a Pro Bowl selection in his first season and leading all rookie running backs with 1,150 rushing yards.

Jacobs was born on February 11th 1997 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Growing up, he had to overcome tough circumstances as his mother dealt with drug addiction and his father also spent time in jail for various crimes. He lived with his grandmother but struggled financially throughout much of childhood before eventually being able to move into government housing when he turned 12 years old. Despite these struggles, Jacobs was able to persevere and make something out of himself by playing football at McLain High School where he was a three-star recruit that ranked 86th nationally among running backs according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
