BIOGRAPHY

JoJo Domann, born July 28, 1997, is a notable figure in American professional football. He has contributed to the sport as a highly respected linebacker and is currently a free agent. Domann carved his professional niche when he was added to the active roster on December 6, 2023, marking a significant progression in his football career.

His early life was centered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he attended Pine Creek High School. It was during these formative years that Domann’s passion for football was stoked as he played wide receiver and safety. He proved to be an exceptional player, and his skills did not go unnoticed. As a senior in 2015, he was recognized as the Gatorade Football Player of the Year for Colorado, a title that underscored his escalating prowess in the sport. Flighting high on the wings of this heightened acclaim, Domann committed to the University of Nebraska, where he could align his passion with his academic pursuits.

His stint at Nebraska exposed him to collegiate football for five seasons spanning from 2016 to 2021. As a flexible player, Domann alternated between playing linebacker and safety, further expanding his skills. Over his college career, he showcased a remarkable performance record. In sum total, he accomplished 207 tackles, both solo and assisted, claimed 5.5 sacks, and made two interceptions.

Following his successful run at college football, Domann grasped the opportunity to translate his talent to the professional leagues when he signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. His signing was no small feat as he was among three undrafted free agents to make the final roster. In this new capacity, Domann played in 16 games solely on special teams, imprinting the first impressions of his rookie year.

However, his journey didn’t remain unchecked. On August 29, 2023, Domann was placed on an injured reserve, which led to his release on September 8. However, he didn’t let this setback deter him. During the same year, on December 6, he was signed to the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad. By December 23, he was reinstated to the 53-man roster. Unfortunately, his time with the Titans was short-lived: Domann was released with injury designation on August 26, 2024.

Despite this, Domann remained proactive, especially concerning updated NCAA policies. When the NCAA approved the Name, Image and Likeness policy on June 30, 2021, Domann took prompt initiative. He utilized this new opportunity by hosting the first Husker college player-led football camp for young enthusiasts. On July 17, 2021, the inaugural Stille and Domann Youth Football Camp took place, attracting almost 150 participants. The camp featured performance drills mainly led by current Husker football players, including a speed segment conducted by Husker All-American sprinter Levi Gipson.
