Adam Gotsis

Adam Gotsis is an Australian-American football defensive lineman born on September 23, 1992, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He attended Kew High School and played Australian rules football before taking up American football with the Monash Warriors. Georgia Tech’s official biography describes him as a defensive tackle who developed into a hard-working, relentless defender and a prominent player on the Yellow Jackets’ defensive line. He studied business administration at Georgia Tech.

Gotsis entered the NFL when the Denver Broncos selected him in the second round, 63rd overall, of the 2016 NFL Draft. NFL scouting material characterized him as strong and gritty, with the versatility to contribute in both 3–4 and 4–3 defensive fronts. He spent the first part of his professional career with Denver before signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent in August 2020. Jacksonville later re-signed him on multiple occasions, including in March 2023.

The Jaguars waived Gotsis on August 6, 2024. He then joined the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad on September 17, 2024, and was released on November 16, 2024. Tampa Bay signed him to its practice squad on January 8, 2025, and later signed him to a futures contract. Tampa Bay’s 2025 personnel records document his subsequent practice-squad and game-elevation activity. As of September 17, 2026, the Buccaneers’ current roster does not list Gotsis, so this biography describes Tampa Bay as his latest verified affiliation rather than claiming current employment.
