Greg Joseph Bio
Greg Joseph is a South African-born NFL placekicker, born August 4, 1994, in Johannesburg. He attended Florida Atlantic University, where he was a kicker/punter and graduated in 2017 in exercise science and health promotion. FAU lists him at 6-foot-1; an NFL Vikings media guide listed him at 6-foot and 206 pounds. Before concentrating on football, he was an accomplished high-school soccer player in Boca Raton, Florida.
Joseph entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Miami in May 2018 and joined Cleveland that September. His career has also included stints with Tennessee, Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Green Bay, the Giants, Washington, the Jets, San Francisco and Las Vegas. He is a specialist whose role centers on placekicks and kickoffs, and his college background included handling both duties. On May 19, 2025, the 49ers signed Joseph; San Francisco released him in August, and the Raiders later signed him to their practice squad. Las Vegas released him from that squad on December 2, 2025. As of September 22, 2026, that is his most recent verified NFL transaction, so he should not be described as currently rostered by a club.
