Frank Clark is an American football player born on June 14, 1993 in Bakersfield, California. He is currently playing in the National Football League (NFL) as defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Prior to his current team, he had a stint with Seattle Seahawks from 2015 to 2018. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 263 pounds, Clark has built a reputation as a ferocious pass rusher and skilled defensive player.

Clark’s football career started from a young age, participating in high school football in Cleveland, OH. He then played college football at University of Michigan, where he gained recognition for his formidable defensive skills. At Michigan, Clark was known for his explosive bursts of speed, his ability to read the game, and his physical toughness. He declared for the NFL Draft in 2015 and was selected in the second round, 63rd overall by the Seattle Seahawks.

Clark’s career in the NFL kicked off dramatically with the Seahawks. As a rookie, he played 15 games, and proved his potential by recording 16 combined tackles and 3 sacks. His performance kept improving as the following year, in 2016, he recorded 47 combined tackles and 10 sacks, solidifying his position as a key player in Seattle’s defense.

His 2018 season was a breakout year, and helped establish him as one of the premier pass rushers in the NFL. He finished the season with an impressive 41 tackles, 13 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles. During this season, Clark also had a memorable performance against the Green Bay Packers where he registered two sacks and forced two fumbles.

Clark’s performance with the Seahawks earned him a franchise tag in March 2019, but it was in April of the same year when his career took a big leap. He was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs for a 2019 first round pick and a 2020 second round pick. The Chiefs also signed Clark to a five-year contract worth $105.5 million, making him one of the highest-paid defensive players in the league.

In his first season with the Chiefs, Clark helped lead the team to Super Bowl LIV, where they took on the San Francisco 49ers. Despite a nerve injury that limited his regular season performance to 37 tackles and 8 sacks, Clark steered the Chiefs to a Super Bowl win with a decisive forth-quarter sack.

As of recently, Frank Clark has become an important part of the Chiefs, and his leadership on and off the field has been instrumental for their success. He is not just a talented player, but also a powerful voice in the locker room, where he inspires his teammates with his tenacity and resilience.
